Yes!! I participated in this year's Empower her Community Non-Tech in Tech Bootcamp and this is an article about my favorite topic. Every topic was vast, interesting, educative, and informative, and to think writing to me before all of this was just picking up your pen and putting things down in your notebook but this Bootcamp taught me that writing is beyond that.

WHAT IS SEO?

Search Engine Optimization, is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine unpaid results — often referred to as “natural”, “organic” or earned “results” SEO is making your sites and articles better for search engines. In general, the earlier and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine users. In a nutshell, Search Engine Optimization is making your sites or articles better for search engines.

Types Of SEO

On-page SEO: This happens on your website and examples are blog posts, product copies, how-to guides, images, and all of those things you would have in your article. In technical writing, this is the major type of SEO we use especially when we are not managing a company’s global site. Most of the things used in technical writing are on-page SEOs.

Off-page SEO; This means anything outside of your website that helps you rank an off-page SEO examples are; brand mentions, social networking, word of mouth advertisement, link sharing, forums, and so on.

Technical; This is the grandeur of all the SEOs. and people shy away from it because it is tedious to master. After all, it is where the major work is and also a faster route to ranking on search engines. Examples are; site indexing for google bots.

P.S: All of these SEOs work hand in hand but on-page and technical SEOs are more in demand.
